Rancho Peñasquitos

Wikipedia says “Rancho Peñasquitos is a suburban community in northeastern San Diego, California. It is named after the first Mexican land grant in San Diego County, Rancho Santa Maria de Los Peñasquitos. The community abuts Los Peñasquitos Canyon Preserve, an open space preserve that offers hiking, biking, and equestrian trails.”

What Wikipedia doesn’t say is that Rancho Pensasquitos, also known as “PQ” is considered the jewel of San Diego County by many and is the very first area JenLovesPets started serving. Our base so to speak. Not only is it the jewel of San Diego but the jewel right smack in the middle of our hearts.

You won’t go very far without seeing a dog in PQ. From restaurants, parks, and stores.
In fact, JenLovesPets was founded in the Rancho Penasquitos Linear Dog Park on Salmon River. It’s a popular, fenced in park for large and small dogs.

Knotty Barrel; located right in the heart of Rancho Penasquitos has a spacious patio for pups. A pub grub for people and pups.

Of course we can’t forget Kahoots; a large pet store for cat and dog supplies. You can pick up pretty much everything pet related here. They’re located on Black Mountain in the Rancho Penasquitos Town Center.

We have many clients in PQ and enjoy walking in the vibrant communities. These communities offer many family activities, natural landscape, great trails, and amazing people.
