During the recovery of her surgery, Brezzi found Jennifer and her family. Being an avid cat “worshipper” she never thought of having a dog, She loved them, as she loves all animals but was definitely a cat person. Until Brezzi locked eyes with her. Even though she could barely walk due to the surgery, she asked to see this big slightly chaotic chocolate Labrador puppy and as she chewed on Dwayne, her husbands ankles, her fingers, and Dishion her son’s shoes Jennifer felt a connection like never before and was deeply in love. They left that afternoon, and every time she closed her eyes she saw Brezzi’s eyes. The next day the entire family picked up Brezzi, without any knowledge of how ill she’d soon become and how much Brezzi would be a part of Jennifer’s healing journey. Read more about Jennifer Taylor

Dwayne is Jennifer’s husband and works a lot behind the scenes though he helps with pet sitting and dog walking when the schedule is full. He has a lot of experience with multiple pet households and tends to gain the trust of the more shy pups quickly. Dwayne hopes to one day retire so he can work more full time with JenLovesPets!

Dishion is Jennifer’s son and has been a part of the business since the beginning. He graduated from Mount Carmel High School here in San Diego and has a passion for photography, basketball, cats, and music. Dishion started a production company a few years ago so he now works in the operations of JLP. He’s a producer for many artists and has music on top ten lists.

Pets love Dishion! They gravitate towards him (Mom gets jealous) because of his calm demeanor. You’ll see him during pet taxi services and he works as a back up and emergency care.

Marissa grew up most of her life in in Southern California, and lived a few years throughout Hawaii and San Francisco, although San Diego is her favorite! She graduated with her Associate’s degree from Palomar College and also studied Herbalism for two years. She realized that she wanted to make a difference in people’s health and become a holistic healer. This is where she found her passion in helping others, both with people and furry friends. She has worked many years as a nanny and animal caregiver.

Marissa enjoys the great outdoors, doing activities like going to the beach, camping, hiking, and playing volleyball. She loves to cook and try new Vegan restaurants. Marissa is really into music and traveling the world as much as she can. She grew up with a Beagle named Mocha and currently is auntie Marissa to numerous friends’ cats.

Katie was born and raised in Mid Michigan, and moved to San Diego, CA in 2023 to be with her military husband. Back in Michigan, Katie had 4 dogs, 3 cats, chickens, and guinea pigs. She has been around animals her entire life and loves working with both animals and people. Katie soon hopes to pursue a higher education in psychology to later become a marriage and family therapist. In her free time she loves spending time with her family, doing outdoor activities, bowling, reading, and anything to do with travel.

Zion was born in San Diego and lived in or around it his whole life. He is in college for graphic design at Palomar College. Other passions include taking pictures and videos, as well as the more technical side of editing them. He has two cats named Tiger and Hazel for about nine years now. Besides making cute pictures, these guys have got to be some of the best kitties. His love for cats does translate well to dogs and other animals though, especially the fluffy ones.

Honey is a mother of two and has been an animal lover and caregiver her entire life. Honey moved to San Diego in 2003 and loves the great weather and endless adventure there is here. She enjoys the outdoors, playing various sports, and spending time with her family. Honey has cared for many different types of animals over the years and loves spending time with animals of all kinds. 

Hunter was born and raised in Flint, Michigan and moved to San Diego in 2023 to tackle a journey of self-growth and self-love. Hunter graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with her Bachelors in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Hunter has worked within the non-profit field for 4 years as a case manager serving those who need a voice. Hunter is an advocate for mental health and loves to empower those in whom she works with. Hunter enjoys writing poetry in her free-time and self-published a book through Amazon KDP called: here, now that focuses on slowing down and letting us feel joy more presently.

Taylor has lived in San Diego her whole life and loves the city! She is currently working with a non-profit as a UI/UX Designer and taking classes to further her career. Taylor currently has two dogs and is really excited to be able to combine work with her passion for animals. Taylor is happy to be a member of JenLovesPets and to care for your animals!  

Hello, my name is Karina. I’m currently a second year Biochemistry major at University of California Riverside. I have a long term goal of pursuing a career in veterinary medicine and love learning cool new things about animals. While my academic journey is centered around science I also enjoy spending time outside my studies interacting with pets and connecting with familes that hold the same love for animals as I do. On my free time I enjoy playing various different instruments with my favorites being double bass and guitar.

Kiernen was born in San Diego, Ca and has been here her whole life. She loves to care for all sorta of pets, including small animals and live stock. Currently Kiernen is pursing an Archaeology Technician Certification while pursing her love of caring for pets with the JenLovesPets company!
